Privacy Policy

1. Access data and hosting


You can visit the website of StoryTribune without providing any personal information. It is a matter
of fact, then with every visit of a website the server automatically stores only a so called server log
file which contains for example the name of the requested file, your IP address, data and time of
visit, data volume transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the access.

This access data is analysed solely for the purpuse of ensuring the smooth operation of the website
and improving our offering. This helps us to protect our, in the balancing of various interests,
overriding legitimate interest pursuant to Art.6 Para.1 Letter f GDPR in ensuring our offering is
presented correctly.

Hosting services proviided

Checkdomain provides us as a third-party provider with hosting and website presentation services.
All data which is collected as described below during use of this website or in forms designed for
this purpose in e.g. online shop or the opportunity to e.g. purchase items or services will be
processed on its server. Data is only processed on other servers within the limits explaind here.
This service provider is based in a country in the European Union or in the European Economic Area.

2. Data collection

We collect personal data if you disclose this to us voluntarily, e.g. when you contact us by contact
form (or email), or using our guestbook. Mandatory fields are marked as such, because in these
cases we need the data to e.g. to respond to your contact, or to manage order issues.
It can be seen on the respective input forms what data is collected.
We use the data provided by you for processing purposes and to respond to your enquiries
pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter b GDPR.
StoryTribune is not offering customer accounts, where data needs to be stored for further
processing.

Passing on data to shipment providers

If you have purchased any item or service from StoryTribune we will ship them as described in our
Genereal Terms of Conditions.
If you have given us your express consent to do so when or after placing your order, we will pass
on your provided delivery address, email or telephone numer pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a GDPR
to the selected shipping provider for delivery.
The consent can be revoked any time by a sending message to StoryTribune.
After the consent has been revoked, we will delete your data provided for this purpose, unless you
have given your express consent to the further use of your data or we reserve the right to use of the
data beyond which is permitted by law and which we inform you of in this policy.

Postal advertising and your right to object

We also reserve the right to use your first name, your surname and your postal code address for our
own advertising purposes, e.g. to send interesting offers and information about our product by letter.
This helps to protect our, in the balancing of various interests, overriding legitimate interest in
ensuring our customers receive advertising material pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR.

3. Use of data in payment processing

StoryTribune provides either payment by invoice sent by us, or via PayPal indicated in our website.
If customers using our invoice system, your data will be cancelled, after the contract has been
proceeded completely, unless you have expressly given your consent to further use of data or we
reserve the right to use of the data beyond this which is permitted by law and which we inform you
of this policy.
If paying by PayPal their Policy of data protectiong is valid to maintain customer rights.

4. Cookies and web analysis

In order to make our website attractive to visitors and enable the use of certain functions, to
display suitable products or for market research, we use so-called cookies.
This helps tp protect our, in the balancing of various interests, overridung legitimate interest in
ensuring our offering is presented optimally pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f GDPR.
Cookies are small text files which are stored automatically on your device.
Some of the cookies used by us are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after your
browser is closed (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to regognise
your device the next time you visit (persistant cookies). You can find out how long they are stored in
the overview of your web browsers cookie settings. You can set your browser so that you are informed
whenever cookies are placed and decide individually whether to accept them, or you can accept
cookies in certain cases or generally exclude cookies.
Every browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings.
This is described in the help menu of every browser, which explains to you how you can change your
cookie settings.

If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of a website may be limited or it is recommanded not
to further use this website.

5. Contact details and your rights

As a person concerned, you have the following rights

- according to Art. 15 GDPR, the right to demand information on the personal data processed by us in
the scope specified therein;
- in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR, the right to demand without delay the correction of incorrect or
incomplete personal data stored with us;
- according to Art. 17 GDPR, the right to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us,
unless further processing
- the exercise the right of freedom or expression and information
- to fulfill a legal obligation
- for reasons of public interest or
- to assert, exercise or defend legal claims
is required

- according to Art. 18 GDPR, the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data,
as
- the accuracy of the data is disputed by you
- the processing is unlawful, but you reject its deletion
- we no longer need data, but you need it for asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or
- you filed an objection against the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR
- according to Art. 20 GDPR, the right to receive your personal data, which you have provided us, in a
structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another person
responsible
- according to Art. 77 GDPR, the right to complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact
the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or StoryTribune directly.

If you have any questions concerning the collection, processing or use of your personal data, if you
require information concerning the correction, blocking or deleting of data or if you want to revoke
any consent provided or object to any specific use of data, please contact us direct using the contact
details in our imprint.

Right to object

If we process personal data as explained above to protect our, in balancing of various interests,
overriding legitimate interests, you can object to this processing with effect for the future. If the
data is processed for direkt marketing purposes, you can exercise this right at any time as described
above.
If the data is processed for other purposes, you only have the right to object if there are grounds
relating to your particular situation.
After you have exercised your right to object, we will no longer process your personal data for these
purposes, unless we can provide proof of compelling legitimate grounds to process the data which
override your interests, rights and freedoms, or if the data needs to be processed for the enforcement,
exercising or defence of legal claims.
This does not apply if the data is processed for direct marketing purposes. In this case, we will no
longer process your personal data for this purpose.
